Tax optimisation VAPZ 2024
2 min read
This article applies to clients for whom Life Experts manages the free supplementary pension for the self-employed (or VAPZ) in 2024. These clients receive a message from us at the start of 2024 to provide us with data.
Why check your VAPZ?
We want to check whether your VAPZ contract, managed by Life Experts, is still optimal in relation to the new tax maxima for 2024. It could indeed be that you can save more. This of course gives you more tax benefit and a higher capital at the end. You definitely do not want to miss out on that. It is also possible that your premium needs to decrease somewhat. Otherwise you pay too much premium and cannot deduct it for tax purposes. That is of course not the intention.
Life Experts does what is necessary for you, but we need your input.
Your premium for 2024 needs to be adjusted to the “reference income” that we can easily find on the invoice for the social security contributions.
What will Life Experts do for you?
At Life Experts, we carry out a calculation of the optimal premium and make you a proposal to adjust your VAPZ contract. For clients who have a company, we will also examine the connection with any savings contracts taken out through the company, also known as IPTs, individual pension commitments funded by your company.
What if you receive or received a questionnaire from the insurer?
If, in the course of 2024 or at any moment in the future, you receive questions from your insurance company about your reference income, you do not need to answer these questions. Life Experts will, after all, contact you annually in February, analyse your situation and give you tailored advice. If you have already completed a questionnaire from your insurance company, that is not a problem. However, we appreciate it if you nevertheless reply to the message you received from Life Experts about your VAPZ. Our experience has shown that a double check can be useful.
We thank you for your cooperation. For additional questions, you can always turn to us.
