Conversion coefficients, personal accident cover, 24/7 (statutory system)
When self-employed directors take out a personal accident policy, 24/7, under the "statutory system," this policy follows the system of statutory occupational accidents for employees.
This means that any benefit awarded at the moment the risk materializes is calculated based on:
- the insured reference salary,
- the age of the insured,
- the age of any partner,
- the age of any children
For the age-based calculations in which annuities are converted into lump sums, the statutory coefficients set by Royal Decree are used. You will find these in the table alongside.
Our experts can explain this type of policy and how the benefits are specifically calculated in detail;
